How To Apply
All Candidates may have a prior look at the complete application form and ensure that all the required details are available with them before filling up the online application form.

STEP 1:
For General Candidates / OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) Candidates
Note: SC/ST and Physically challenged candidates are exempted from payment of fee.
Download the Triplicate SBI Challan copy. and fill the required details.
* The challan has three parts: An Applicant’s copy
* BHEL copy
* Bank copy
After filling the details in the above challan, it has to be deposited with the fee of Rs. 500/- at any of the SBI branches all over the country.
It may be ensured that the Banker’s Seal / Signature of the signing authority are available on the challan.
On deposit of fee through challan, SBI will allot a unique Journal no. which is to be mentioned in the on-line application form.

STEP 2: (For all candidates)
All eligible candidates are required to fill in the ONLINE application form and submit the same.
* Before online submission, Gen/OBC candidates should have paid the fees and should have the Journal No. given by the Bank as the same would be required to be filled in application form.
* SC / ST, OBC, Physically Challenged, J&K Domiciled candidates and Ex-Servicemen should carefully fill up the respective columns, since these details will not be allowed to be changed later and they will have to send their valid category certificates along with acknowledgement slip.

STEP 3: (For all candidates)
After submitting the application ONLINE, a unique Acknowledgement Number will be allotted to the candidate and he/she will then be required to download two copies of the acknowledgement slip.
* One Copy of acknowledgement slip may be retained by the Candidate.
* Another copy of Acknowledgement Slip, duly signed by the applicant and with his/her recent photograph pasted on the slip along with
* BHEL Challan copy
* Category certificates, if applicable

GUIDELINES ON PRIME MINISTER’S EMPLOYMENT GENERATION PROGRAMME (PMEGP)

1. The Scheme
Government of India has approved the introduction of a new credit linked subsidy programme called Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) by merging the two schemes that were in operation till 31.03.2008 namely Prime Minister’s Rojgar Yojana (PMRY) and Rural Employment Generation Programme (REGP) for generation of employment opportunities through establishment of micro enterprises in rural as well as urban areas. PMEGP will be a central sector scheme to be administered by the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MoMSME). The Scheme will be implemented by Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC), a statutory organization under the administrative control of the Ministry of MSME as the single nodal agency at the National level. At the State level, the Scheme will be implemented through State KVIC Directorates, State Khadi and Village Industries Boards (KVIBs) and District Industries Centres (DICs) and banks. The Government subsidy under the Scheme will be routed by KVIC through the identified Banks for eventual distribution to the beneficiaries / entrepreneurs in their Bank accounts. The Implementing Agencies, namely KVIC, KVIBs and DICs will associate reputed Non Government Organization (NGOs)/reputed autonomous institutions/Self Help Groups (SHGs)/ National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC) / Udyami Mitras empanelled under Rajiv Gandhi Udyami Mitra Yojana (RGUMY), Panchayati Raj institutions and other relevant bodies in the implementation of the Scheme, especially in the area of identification of beneficiaries, of area specific viable projects, and providing training in entrepreneurship development.

General Instructions
Any eligible person can apply for admission in one of the courses of his choice, offered by the University. The admission form (Annexure-A) and prospectus may be obtained through Demand Draft of Rs.200.00 from the sales counters of the University or by sending the demand draft of Rs.250 by registered post, drawn in favour of Nalanda Open University, Payable at Patna. No money order or postal order is accepted. The demand draft must be made in the name of Nalanda Open University payable at Patna. The sales counters of the University function on all working days from 11:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.

Document required with the admission form :
1.Attested Photocopy of the mark sheet of the qualifying examination, which has been prescribed as eligibility condition by the University for getting admission in the desired course and Attested certificate of marticulation for proof of age.
2.Attested Caste certificate, issued by DM/DC/SDO or any other person authorised to issue such Certificate for SC/ST/BC/OBC candidates, seeking admission on reserved quota.
3. Candidates, applying for B.Ed. course, must deposit all prescribed documents along with the admission form, as per requirement of that course which shall be intimated to them separately.

Things to be kept in mind :
* Original documents (marks sheet of qualifying examination and certificate of marticulation exam). The original document will be returned to the candidate immediately after verification and comparison with the attested photocopy submitted by the candidate and the attested photocopy of the document will be kept by the University for record. A verification fee of Rs.100 per candidate will be charged by the University, for which a valid receipt will be issued by the University authorities to the concerned candidates.
* Three self addresses envelops of size 10×4.5 inch each. One ticket-size photograph will be affixed on the admission form at the space provided. Another photograph will be pasted on the identity card and the third will be required for identity card register. All the three photographs must be attested by a competent authority. Candidates are required to write their name on the reverse of the unpasted photographs.
o The candidate selected for admission must pay the required charges in full at the time of admission, including examination fee given in Annexture-I. The payment must be made through demand draft in favour of Nalanda Open University, payable at Patna.
o 25% fee concession to Woman seeking admission in any course in 2009.
o On the reverse side of the Demand Draft, the candidate must write his/her name, admission form number and the name of the course he has applied for.
o Candidates are advised to retain photocopy of the demand draft for their own record.
